Charlotte works in the tourism industry on the North Sea island of Helgoland while waiting for an angel to arrive, signalling the end of the world. Much to Charlotte's delight, on the designated date Ayse appears.

Ayse is a German/Turkish ex-hooker who jumped at the chance to escape the streets and come to Helgoland to run a business which she had just inherited. Charlotte and Ayse become close friends, much to the anger of some of the townsfolk who regard the former prostitute as a trouble-maker, and who seek to get rid of her... permanently. An Angel's Revenge is all charm and suggestive texture--a buddy film for women, with a few good winks and nudges.
