A hit at every festival it plays, Big Eden has won 11 Audience Awards including the New York City, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Seattle and Toronto Inside Out gay and lesbian film festivals.

Henry (Arye Gross from Ellen) lives in New York where he's preparing for an important gallery exhibit of his paintings. When he gets a call from Grace (Louise Fletcher) saying that his beloved grandfather Sam (George Coe from Law and Order) has had a stroke, Henry decides to miss his own opening and immediately return to Big Eden to care for the ailing Sam.

Back in his hometown after 20 years, Henry is reunited with his unrequited love from high school, the recently divorced Dean (Tim DeKay from Party of Five) who has moved back to Big Eden with his two sons. While Henry is occupied wondering if Dan is reciprocating his feelings, he doesn't notice that Pike (Vancouver resident Eric Schweig from The Last of the Mohicans), the Native American man who runs the local store, has fallen for him.

The trio's romantic entanglements quickly become the talk of the town, but in Big Eden nobody reacts as one might expect! Big Eden contrasts stereotypes of small town busybodies with a heartwarming and uplifting ode to the beauty and heartache of love.
