Urbania, based on Daniel Reitz's stage play, casts a spell that is not easily shaken off. Charlie (Dan Futterman) is embarking on a very dark night of the soul. When he notices a mysterious stranger at a distance, Charlie travels the city (New York) in an effort to revisit his chance encounter.

All who cross Charlie's path have their own urban tale to tell and their own eerie connection to him. Why does he doggedly pursue the seedy but sexy guy with the tattoo? Even when we learn about the terrible event that led Charlie to this night, we're not entirely sure what happened because, like all urban legends, this story comes in more than one version.
